Reservoir Leisure Centre

We need more investment in the northern suburbs of Darebin. This means fighting to redevelop the Reservoir Leisure Centre so that it meets the current and future needs of our growing community.

Building a new 50m Pool

Reservoir Leisure Centre has served our community for decades. But Reservoir and Melbourne's north have changed enormously, and our community deserves facilities that meet its needs now and into the future.

Community infrastructure matters. A leisure centre isn't simply a swimming pool or gym. It's somewhere children learn to swim, older people stay active, families spend time together and people from across the community meet one another.

As our population grows, these places become increasingly important.

I will fight for State Government funding towards the redevelopment of Reservoir Leisure Centre. I want a redevelopment that responds to what the community has asked for, including:

modern aquatic facilities;
accessible facilities for people of all ages and abilities;
improved gym and fitness spaces;
spaces for community programs and activities;
improved outdoor areas;
affordable access for the community; and
a welcoming community hub that brings people together.
